At CROSS CART, we believe in transparent pricing. The total amount you pay at checkout is composed of the following four main elements:
-
🛒 Product Price
This is the price of the item as set by the shop owner.
-
📦 Domestic Shipping Fee
This is the cost to ship the item from the shop in Japan to our domestic warehouse.
-
💳 Service Fee
This is our fee for purchasing the item from the shop and handling everything through to international shipping. The fee is 10% of the (total product price + domestic shipping fee), with a minimum of 500 JPY and a maximum of 3,000 JPY.
-
🚚 International Shipping Fee
This is the cost to ship the package from our warehouse in Japan to your international address.
In addition to the above, a 2.8% Payment Processing Fee will be added to the total amount of your transaction.
💳 Currency and the prices shown in USD or EUR
All prices on Cross Cart are set in Japanese yen (JPY), and your payment is processed in JPY. Payment in other currencies, such as USD or EUR, is not available.
Next to the yen price, a converted amount is shown for reference:
- On the shop and product pages: USD
- In your cart, at checkout, and on the payment screen: USD or EUR, depending on your delivery country
These are reference conversions based on exchange rates, so they can change slightly from day to day.
Because the charge itself is in yen, your card issuer or payment provider converts it using their own exchange rate, and some providers also add a foreign transaction fee. For this reason, the amount on your statement may differ a little from the USD or EUR figure shown on the site.
[Important Note on Customs Duties]
Whether customs duties and import taxes are included depends on the shipping method you choose at checkout. If it shows "Duties & taxes included", duties are prepaid with your order, and in principle you will not need to pay them again on delivery. If it shows "Duties & taxes may be charged on delivery.", any customs duties, VAT, or other import taxes charged by your country are paid by the recipient (you) when you receive your package.
