If you paid with a debit card, you may see the amount appear, then disappear (like a refund), and later appear again. In almost all cases this is normal and you are charged only once. Here is why it happens.
When you place your order — a temporary hold, or an early debit
We do not charge your card right away. Your card issuer sets the amount aside as a temporary authorization. With some debit cards, the amount may even be taken from your account right away, so it can look as if you have already paid.
Before we ship — the amount may be released or returned
Depending on your bank, this amount can be released or returned to you after a few days (the timing varies by bank). When that happens, the money comes back to your account, which can look like a “refund.” This is your bank releasing the amount — not a refund from us.
When we ship — the actual charge
We finalize the payment when your order is prepared for international shipping. That is when the amount is actually charged. Because the earlier amount was released, this can look like a second charge.
In short
Set aside or debited → released (looks like a refund) → charged once when your order ships. You are charged only one time — this is not a double charge.
If, after a few days, your statement still shows two actual charges (not just a pending hold), please contact us with your order details and we will check it for you.
